Att spela in trummor är hemskt roligt. Jag skulle vilja påstå att det är mitt favoritinstrument att spela in, men det kan också vara det svåraste. Virvelljudet är det som sätter klangen för hela trumsoundet och det kan ibland vara väldigt frustrerande att få till. (In English at the bottom of the page).

Även om du har bra kläm på att stämma din virveltrumma så har du säkert, fler gånger än du kan räkna på båda händerna, haft problem med att få till rätt efterklang. Det finns massor av produkter för att kontrollera efterklangen på virveltrumman, men du kan komma långt på saker du redan har eller kan få tag på väldigt billigt. I veckans video går jag igenom fyra sätt jag brukar använda mig av för att få till ljudet jag vill ha. Du har troligtvis nästan alla grejer hemma redan.

Four cheap ways to control your snare sound

Recording drums is lots of fun. I would say it’s my favourite instrument to record, but it can also be the most difficult. The sound of the snare is what sets the tone for the whole drum kit, and it can be frustrating to get it right.

Even if you are really good at tuning your snare drum I’m sure that you, more often that you can count on both your hands, had problems with controlling the sustain of the snare. There are tons of products that you can buy to help you with this, but you can come far with stuff you already have around, or for very little money. In this weeks video I’ll show you four ways I usually go for to get the sound I’m looking for. I bet you have most of the things at home already.
