Audio Test Kitchen (audiotestkitchen.com) är en webbaserad app som är till för att du ska kunna testa och jämföra studioutrustning. I dagens format har de 300 kondesatormikrofoner i olika prisklasser som du kan testa. De har ett antal olika låtar i olika genres där du antingen kan lyssna på hela mixen inspelad med samma mikrofon eller de olika isolerade spåren var för sig. Allt är inspelat med exakt samma källor och signalvägar så att det enda som skiljer är mikrofonen. Detta gör att det blir brutalt lätt att höra exakt hur stor, eller liten, skillnad det är mellan olika mikrofoner.

The best way to decide what studio gear you want to buy is to try it out and compare different options. If it’s really expensive equipment it can be hard to get your hands on it, but thanks to Audio Test Kitchen at least you can now try 300 different microphones right from your home.

Audio Test Kitchen (audiotestkitchen.com) is a web based app that are made for you to try and compare studio equipment. In the current format it contains 300 condenser microphones in different price ranges that you can test and compare. They have a couple of different songs where you can chose to listen to the full mix with the microphone you chose, or the isolated tracks by them selfs. Everything is recorded with the exakt same sources and signal paths which means the only changing factor is the microphone. This makes it really easy to hear exactly how big, or small, the difference is between different models.
