Jag skulle vilja påstå att virvelljudet är en av de viktigaste komponenterna i en rocklåts helhetsljud. Beroende på hur virveln är stämd och vad den har för respons kan uppfattningen om gitarrljud och annat påverkas. (In English at the bottom of the page).

En stor tjock virvel med punch kan få gitarrerna att låta fetare och mer nedstämda än till exempel en jättehögt stämd piccolovirvel. Det finns också en del snabba trick du kan ta till för att drastiskt ändra ljudet i en virvel, utan att stämma om eller byta skinn. Något som kan vara bra om du tillfälligt vill ända karaktär i en låt, eller bara vill testa något nytt.

How the snare sound affects the over all sound of your mix

I’d like to say that the snare drum is one of the the most important components for the sound in a rock song. Depending on how the snare is tuned and what kind of response it has the perception of the guitar sound and other things can change.

A big fat punchy snare can make the guitars sound lower in tune than for example a high pitched piccolo snare. There are also some quick tricks that you can do to drastically alter the sound of the snare, without retuning or changing heads. Something that can be useful if you temporarily want to change the sound or just want to try things out.
